Staff

Ralph Richardson, MSc. is the executive director of the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust (BHCT) with 17 years of experience in the third (nonprofit) sector.  Mr. Richardson completed a Leadership in Philanthropy course at Stanford University.  Before joining BHCT, Mr. Richardson retired in 2010 from his role as the Executive Director of ACE Foundation-Bermuda. 

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Richardson served on the Board of the Center on Philanthropy and was a member of the executive of the Donor Forum which represented 40 plus major corporate donors. His other volunteer service included roles as Commodore of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club and board membership of several non-profit organizations.

He is a current board member of the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, the Argo Foundation Selection Committee and Chairman of the Bermuda Water Safety Council.

Mr. Jonathan Brewin is the new Chairman of the board of Trustees with the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust.

As a former chairman of Bermuda Hospitals Board, on two separate occasions, and a founding BHCT trustee, Mr Brewin has more than 20 years of experience in hospital administration and healthcare management.

He stated: “I would like to thank Phil for his service to the Trust and the impact that has been made on the Island’s healthcare philanthropy.

“It is with his vision, dedication and leadership that the Trust has been able to accomplish such extraordinary feats in support of the Acute Care Wing.”

Mr Brewin is general manager of Sol Petroleum Bermuda Ltd and was Commodore of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in 2012-13. He is a board member of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and Age Concern.
